The Leica D-Lux 7 “A BATHING APE® x STASH” Limited Edition is the convergence of three icons of street culture: the limited edition version of the Leica D-Lux 7, the characteristic camouflage look of Tokyo streetwear brand BAPE®, and designed by STASH, the New York pioneer of the graffiti scene, combine to capture street vibes to perfection – a Leica camera for stirring and emotional photographic street art.
Street photography is the art of capturing moments of people’s lives as naturally and, at the same time, profoundly as possible. It is a very immediate type of reportage photography that has always been closely connected with the Leica brand. In many ways, street photography holds up a mirror to society – be it from a humorous, insightful or critical perspective. The genre shares this trait with two other art forms that capture the urban zeitgeist: streetwear and street art. This Leica D-Lux 7 limited edition features the signature ABC CAMO look of the streetwear label BAPE®, and the brand’s APE HEAD insignia; it is also marked with the distinctive wild style tag of American graffiti artist STASH. The technical specifications of this camera are identical to the standard Leica D-Lux 7.
The Leica D-Lux 7 offers its users the choice of simplified or advanced controls, it actively teaches them all the fundamental principles of photography through valuable, hands-on experiences. The outstanding optical quality of the D-Lux 7 is achieved by both a fast aperture (f/1.7–2.8) and a long focal length of 24–75 mm (35 mm equivalent) with its built-in lens. The D-Lux 7 delivers impressive results across a multitude of photographic genres including portrait, landscape, architecture, macro and photo-journalism. The impressive visual qualities of the D-Lux 7 really start to shine in low-light situations, especially when shooting without a flash.
The Leica D-Lux 7 has a 17-megapixel sensor. Delivering full resolution, independent of the selected aspect ratio (3:2, 4:3, 16:9), the sensor provides great details in every image. The large size of the 4/3rd sensor means larger pixels that are able to collect more light, which reduces image noise and makes the D-Lux 7 ideal for available light photography. Equipped with an extremely fast autofocus system, shooting up to 11 frames per second the D-Lux 7 is guaranteed to capture and preserve even the most fleeting of moments. Additionally, the D-Lux 7 is equipped with an innovative post-focus function that enables photographers to choose the focus point even after taking the picture.
The Leica D-Lux 7 also features a high resolution electronic viewfinder with 2.76 million pixels for extremely precise framing and a 3-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1.24 million pixels. Using the touchscreen enables the photographer to both conveniently control the D-Lux 7 and reliably judge the quality of an image straight after shooting it. When life is moving too fast for a single picture, the D-Lux 7 video function can do the trick. With 4K resolution, four times higher than Full HD and up to 30 frames per second in both MP4 and AVCHD-format, the D-Lux 7 is destined to capture moving images in glorious detail. Accompanying the video function, the 4K-photo function can be used to extract and save still pictures directly from video footage at a resolution of up to 8 megapixels.

Compatible with your camera, the Leica FOTOS APP. delivers features that enable photographers to remotely capture unforgettable moments, transfer, edit and share images quickly, easily, and on-the-go. In combination with the Leica FOTOS App, the D-Lux 7 not only offers fast access and the sharing of images via social media it can even be triggered from afar.
