Leica M6 “150 Jahre Optik”.
150 sets, with 5 different versions of Leica M6 Platinum + lens were released to celebrate 150 years since the foundation of Carls Kellner’s optical institute, which is a forerunner of Leitz.
Each of the 150 years between 1849 and 1999 are honored and represented by the engraving on the top plate. The top plate features the title and the optical diagram of the lens. The difference between the 5 different versions are which lenses come with the camera and which years indicate its edition number:
- 50mm f2.8 Elmar-M (1850-1879)
- 50mm f2 Summicron-M (1880-1909)
- 50mm f1.4 Summilux-M (1910-1939)
- 35mm f2 Summicron-M (1940-1969)
- 35mm f1.4 Summilux-M (1970-1999)
The condition of the 4 sets present are absolutely incredible. The platinum and the gray snakeskin leather look immaculate. All are also complete with nut-tree root-wood boxes and outer boxes as well.
