Leica Monochrom

It's great to see how far the Leica Monochrom camera has come with the M11 Monochrom and it's a perfect opportunity to have a look at one of its predecessors!

Before the introduction of the monochrom camera, Ralph Gibson was set on solely working with black and white film in a Leica M camera. Being near repulsed by regular digital cameras we saw a possibility of changing his mind with the coming of the Monochrom M. Still skeptical, Gibson tried out the camera, and hasn't looked back since. Out of this collaboration between us and Gibson came two beautiful projects. The first being the "Mono" book. The second being this beautiful set!

The Leica Monochrom set is a limited run of 35 sets which we produced ourselves. This particular set is number 22/35. We’re proud to say that this is definitely one of the most detailed limited Leica sets that exist. The set features the following items:

  • Silver chrome Leica Monochrom (including signature on top plate)
  • Silver Chrome 35mm Summilux where the coloured markings have been turned into  monochrome markings
  • Strap which is made of the same leather as the covering on the body
  • Hand finished bag
  • Signed photograph by Ralph Gibson
  • Limited edition version of the “Mono” book we have produced with Ralph Gibson
All of this can be found in the custom made gift box.
