‘Origin of the beginning’ offers an overview of photographs, drawings, installations, sculptures and videos by artist Levi van Veluw from 2006 to 2013.
This special book is a work of art in itself. Besides beautiful reproductions of his artworks, the book contains a special element. This wooden cube can be considered as an essential basic element on which his work is built. This handmade cube is placed in a square hole that is stamped throughout the whole book.
In the collector's edition of 'Origin of the beginning', the book is placed in a wooden frame. When the knob is turned, the system is wound up like a music box and the wooden cube in the book starts to rotate.
