The Rollei Project by Jock Sturges (J)
Very rare limited edition print and limited book from Jock Sturges which was coming with the limited Platinum edition Rollei Rolleiflex at the time (released in 2013). Since not all the limited cameras were produced we can now also offer you these limited prints/books seperately !! The Platinum cameras were made in 4 differents colors (black,white,red and blue) and the limited books have got the same colored cover of the camera and were made in an edition of only 25 copies. Offered in this auction is the black edition which is coming with the print “Maya, Seattle, 2012” included. (25.4 x 28.6 cm)
In the Spring of 2012, Duncan Meeder, owner of Leica Store Lisse / Foto Henny Hoogeveen in Lisse, The Netherlands, made the American photographer Jock Sturges an offer he could not refuse! Bemused and even a bit skeptical at first, Jock Sturges eventually could not let go of the Rolleiflex Twin Lens Reflex 6x6 that he was presented with. After four months and hundreds of rolls of film, the result was a beautifully designed book with even more beautiful images.
