Officially the WHITE Leica M8-2 never went in production. Only the Leica M8 was made in white (and of which Leica only made 275 pieces). However a few M8-2 bodies do exist in white and were made as prototype cameras. Only 2 pieces are known to exist and Leica made these cameras to show to the public. Compared to the M8 white edition the M8-2 doesn't have a special number on the flash shoe but has the regular serial number and the M8-2 engraving on the shoe too. Also the shutter speeds of a M8-2 go to 1/4000s (M8 until 1/8000s). As the camera never went into production it also does not have a specific production code.
