Leica 250 Reporter "Brigham"

*** SOLD ***

Again a very nice and rare camera and this time it is a very early Leica FF Reporter camera. As you see on the attached pictures this camera has got some engravings on it and this is also why this camera is/has got such a fascinating history. Brigham was a camera shop at the time in Bridlington and Bridlington was a lovely seaside summer resort in England, Yorkshire where a lot of people went on vacation/holliday. This camera (the shop actually owned quite a few of these 250 FF”s) was used for shooting people during their holidays at the beach and the Brigham camera shop had several photographer employed at that time who were shooting pictures with various reporter cameras. That's why there's the number 2 engraved on the top where the two loading cassettes are located as every photographer had its’ own personal reporter camera.
